Executive Sleep Out A Big Success

27 Nov 2019

On November 21st, 2019 close to 80 business and community leaders in Toronto spent one night sleeping on the streets to raise funds to support Covenant House Toronto for their work in serving homeless, trafficked or at-risk youth. Collectively, the team of 80 business leaders raised over $1.3 million.

Our President and CEO, Peter Owsiany was one of the team members who participated in this event.

“The experience was eye-opening and humbling,” says Peter Owsiany, who participated in the event for the first time. “We need to do all we can to assist the homeless youth and provide them with the support they require to be successful in life”.

Accerta is proud to support local charities like Covenant House who do great work serving vulnerable youth in our communities. This Executive Sleep Out event, in its 8th year, has raised a total of $8.3 million in its lifetime. Participants spent the night outside with just a sleeping bag and a piece of cardboard to better understand the hardships that youth face on the streets.
