Commitment to Diversity and Inclusivity
We are champions of diversity and inclusivity. In 2019, we took a pledge that cemented our approach and committed our company to achieve the elevated standards of B-Corp's Inclusive Economy Challenge. We implemented and refined practices to increase supplier diversity, gender pay equity and hired chronically underemployed individuals.
We are proud of our success and stand among a select group of companies that B-Corp recognized as CHANGEMAKERS for achieving a more diverse and inclusive work environment.
Commitment to the Environment
Accerta embraces our environmental responsibilities to the planet. Over the years, we expanded our digital solutions to include online claims submission and eligibility verification for practitioners. These advances digitize our entire process from claims adjudication to payment and everything in between. We counsel our partners on how they can further leverage our platform to eliminate waste and reduce their carbon emissions.
Accerta is a part of a 700+ group of B-Corps who are publicly committed to accelerating the reduction of their Green House Gas (GHG) emissions to reach a 1.5-degree trajectory leading to net zero by the year 2030. This promise is 20 years ahead of the 2050 targets set in the Paris Agreement.
We also took the Waste Reduction Week in Canada pledge and reaffirmed our commitment to waste reduction, resource conservation, and community education for sustainable living.
Accerta Healthcare Access Foundation
Our CRA-registered charitable foundation, The Accerta Healthcare Access Foundation, administers ten-percent (10%) of Accerta's net income into selected projects within the communities we serve.
Accerta actively supports local charities (The Covenant House, Youth without Shelter, Belmont House, St. Michael's Hospital, Jordan Foundation, Sick Kids, Red Door Shelter Family Shelter). We mandate employees to take time off work to volunteer and sponsor annual programs that match their fundraising efforts. Our employees volunteer in-person and provide much-needed virtual services as required.
